Anthony Doerr: Pulitzer Prize-winning author of “All the Light We Cannot See” will talk about his new book, “Cloud Cuckoo Land,” with author Jess Walter at a virtual event at 7 pm on October 12th. Ohio Horror Writers Association: Members will read spooky and twisted stories at an in-person and online event at 7 p.m. on October 13, presented by Bexley Public Library, 2411 E. Main St., Bexley. Alison Green Myers and Padma Venkatraman: Two authors of new books for intermediate readers will appear in a free online book discussion from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on October 16, presented by Cover to Cover Books for Young Readers. Green Myers’ book “A Bird Will Soar” is about an autistic child who loves birds and Venkatraman’s “Born Behind Bars” is about a boy from Chennai, India, who was released after spending his entire life in prison with his mother.
