The Dare County Library is pleased to announce the return of its Children’s Bookmark Contest beginning Friday, April 1, 2022.

The contest is open to children of all ages, who will have the opportunity to pick up a blank entry form from one of three Dare County Library locations and then decorate a blank bookmark with pictures and/or library-related words.

The competition will include four age categories – 2-6, 7-9, 10-13 and 14-18 – and the selected winner in each category will receive a gift certificate from a local bookstore.

The Dare County Library will also print the winning bookmarks in color and make them available at each library’s front desk throughout the year.

Observed annually to coincide with National Library Week, the Dare County Library Bookmark Contest is a fun way for kids to get creative and show off how books, reading and the library are. matter to them.

Bookmark entries must be received no later than Wednesday, May 5, 2022.

To pick up a Children’s Bookmark Contest entry form, stop by one of the three Dare County Library locations or contact your local library branch.
