The museum was closed during the winter months, but we are grateful for a grant from the Champlin Foundation which helps fund the installation of storm windows on the 3rd floor windows and the recently restored 1st floor windows. Work on these projects will begin this summer. We will also begin work funded by the 1772 Foundation / Preserve RI grant for the restoration of the dome.
We recently updated the website to include the new virtual exhibits on the early days of Block Island, the walking tour of the Old Harbor, and interviews with a descendant of the Manisseans.

We are now booking museum tours and historical ofc site walking tours In the meantime please visit us on Facebook – we have two separate pages, our “official” page is managed by our staff, the other is a page Membership, where we invite people to share photos and memories of Block Island is managed by board members and volunteers and is currently active.
