Here are some of the major moves we’ve seen over the past week.

A new general manager is now in place at Club Wyndham Ballarat, with Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific introducing Philip Blain as the new manager. A native of the western districts of Victoria, Blain returned to his country and joined Club Wyndham Ballarat after his last role at Como MGallery by Sofitel. He has also held key leadership roles overseeing large-scale renovations and customer service improvements.

Skye Suites Parramatta DG, Quercy Jouannes.

The Skye Suites Parramatta designed by Koichi Takada welcomed Quercy Jouannes as the new General Manager. Fluent in five languages ​​and originally from France, Jouannes brings 20 years of hospitality experience gained in a variety of sales, marketing and operations roles in Australia, Europe and the United States.

Kokomo Island Sales and Marketing Director Sharon Byrne.

Following the announcement of the opening of international borders with Fiji from December 1, Kokomo Private Island Fiji introduced Sharon Byrne as the new Director of Sales and Marketing. Based in Sydney, Byrne is well versed in the luxury hospitality industry, bringing a decade of experience with IHG and Langham Hospitality. Experienced in relaunching luxury properties after downtime, Byrne is eager to put her skills to work in promoting and showing Kokomo Private Island to high-end luxury seekers.

Isidoro Geretto, CFO of Kempinski Hotels.

The Supervisory Board of the Kempinski Group has confirmed the appointment of Isidoro Geretto as Chief Financial Officer. With four decades of industry and finance experience, Geretto has a proven track record in finance and corporate structure at the corporate, operations and ownership level. Geretto spent the last year as Interim CFO for the company and has now been appointed permanent in this role, where he will strengthen the company and guide its financial performance globally.

Head of Cordis Auckland Front Office, Erhard Schmucker.

Back in his native New Zealand, Erhard Schmucker took on the role of Front Office Manager at Cordis Auckland. Schmucker, who started his career at Langham Hospitality Group, has spent the last decade working in the Middle East, including front office positions at Mondrian in Qatar and Marriott International in Dubai, working at JW Marriott and Sheraton Grand in the city of the Emirates.
