BELGRADE – Linda Anne (Letourneau) Pelotte, 73, passed away peacefully at her home in Belgrade on Thursday July 22, 2021. She was born in Waterville on March 18, 1948, daughter of the late Gerald and Mary (Perry) Letourneau.
She graduated from high school in 1966 and continued her career at the Bernards School of Cosmetology. Linda has owned and operated Linda’s Beauty Shoppe for over 40 years. Linda also worked at the Happy Wheels roller rink in Winslow, then retired from the Hunting chiropractic office after 23 years.
Linda enjoyed doing puzzles, 4 wheeling, camping, driving and golf cart rides, and stopping frequently for ice cream with her fiancÃ© Ted. In her early years, she was a movie buff and loved to write to her correspondent, Deanne, in Australia, where they wrote each other for over 61 years. She was a wonderful and sweet person who loved her children, family and friends.
Linda is survived by her fiancÃ© Howard (Ted) Wadleigh Jr .; three children and their spouses: Timothy Pelotte and his wife Debbie, Irene (Pelotte) Richards and her husband Scott, Anthony Pelotte and his wife Jaime; grandchildren, Cody Pelotte, Jacob Stinson and fiance Ashley, Zachary Dionne, Shawna Pelotte and fiance Brian, Lucas Pelotte, Trevor Pelotte, Jaimie Jolotta, Melanie Thurston and husband Ben and Stephanie Gaddar and husband Nick; great-grandchildren, Colton and Camden Pelotte, Joseph Dionne and Mavin Gaddar; The Wadleigh families, aunts: Gloria Etchie, and Irene Burke and husband William, an uncle, Vincent Letourneau as well as several nieces, nephews; and a lot of special friends.
Special thanks to all the family and friends who have helped care for Linda over the past few months, including caregivers Lynette Bolduc, Gina Boudreau and the nurses and staff at Northern Light Hospice.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Monday, August 2, 2021 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Dan & Scott’s Cremation & Funeral Service (Adams Chapel), 445 Waterville Road, Skowhegan.
A Christian burial mass will be held on Tuesday August 3, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Notre Dame de Lourds Catholic Church, Silver Street, Waterville with the burial to follow at St. Francis Cemetery.
