Syracuse Welcome, the University’s new student orientation program for new undergraduates, has officially started. After moving into on-campus accommodation, new students will participate in a full schedule of social, academic and parent / family activities and programs. See the Syracuse Welcome 2021 program for the full program.

In addition to the full schedule of events, the following offices will be open over the weekend to meet the needs of new and alumni:

  • Bird library: Saturday August 28, 10 am-10pm; Sunday, August 29, 10 a.m. 24-hour operation
  • Syracuse University Campus Store: Saturday-Sunday August 28-29, 10 am-5pm
  • Bursar operations: Saturday-Sunday August 28-29, 12 p.m.-4 p.m.
  • Carnegie Library: Saturday-Sunday August 28-29, 12 pm-8pm
  • Resource Center for People with Disabilities: Saturday-Sunday August 28-29, 10 am-3pm
  • International service center: Saturday-Sunday August 28-29, 10 am-4pm
  • Consultations at Barnes Center at The Arch: Saturday-Sunday August 28-29, 12 p.m.-4 p.m.

Students, faculty, staff, parents, and families who have questions are encouraged to connect with the Office of New Student and Family Programs. They can be contacted in person on the Quad from August 24 to 26, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., or by phone at 315.443.9187 during the following hours:
