Sekur Private Data launches “Chat-By-Invite” using SMS invitations

TORONTO, ON and NEW YORK, NY /ACCESSWIRE/May 16, 2022/ Sekur Private Data Ltd. (OTCQX:SWISF)(CSE:SKUR)(FRA:GDT0) (“Sekur” or the “Company”), the Swiss leader in secure hosted communications and secure data management, is pleased to announce that it has just de launched its “Chat-By-Invites” feature, allowing any Sekur user to invite any non-Sekur user to chat privately and securely, using Sekur’s proprietary platform and technology hosted in Swiss.

SekurMessenger now comes with a proprietary feature and technology called “Chat-By-Invites”. This feature allows a SekurMessenger user (“SM User”) invite a non-SM user, or a group of non-SM users, to chat in a completely private and secure manner, without the recipient ever having to register for SekurMessenger or download the app. At the end of the chat, the initiator of the conversation can end the conversation remotely and all traces of the conversation are deleted from all users, including the recipient. This unique feature is now fully deployed and functional on all iOS and Android devices and web platforms. The target industries are many, including but not limited to real estate, legal, finance, insurance, medical, government, energy, manufacturing, commercial, and pharmaceutical industries.

The invitation can be sent by e-mail or SMS. To date, Sekur has enabled invitations in 19 countries and will add more countries over time. Sekur extends globally. Currently enabled countries are:

Switzerland, United States, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Panama, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Argentina, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Spain, Serbia, United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand.

SekurMessenger also eliminates many privacy and security risks by not only not requiring a phone number, which would leak a user’s phone device ID, but also by not involving social engineering from a user’s phone or computer contact list and also infecting the default contacts, eliminating a huge security and privacy hole. SekurMessenger assigns each user a username and a Sekur number. The Sekur number is the contact ID that a user would disclose for other Sekur users to be added. The service comes with a self-destruct timer and other features, including Sekur’s proprietary VirtualVaults and HeliX technologies with all data stored on encrypted servers hosted in Switzerland.

Alain Ghiai, CEO of Sekur Private Data, said: “We are delighted to have launched ‘Chat-By-Invites’ via SMS. This milestone brings us closer to offering a unique set of secure and private communications to individuals, businesses and governments looking to protect their communications without having to disclose their phone numbers, without datamining, and without forcing the recipient to also download the same app. SekurMessenger is a highly private and secure alternative to any other email service. We already have some demand in Central and Latin America and it is expected to grow exponentially in the years to come. As we are not connected to any Big Tech platform, we can offer a truly independent, private and secure means of communication without any data mining, thanks to our proprietary technology and secure servers based in Switzerland. We look forward to continuing to deliver true data privacy to all individuals and their businesses and to protecting their intellectual property and privacy from data miners and malicious hackers.”

Sekur, which includes SekurMessenger and SekurMail, part of a bundle of email, messaging and file transfer in one application, includes the company’s latest SekurMail technology, which includes a proprietary anti-phishing and privacy feature called SekurSend®. SekurSend® allows a user to send an email to any other recipient, whether they have Sekur or not, in complete confidentiality and security because the email never leaves SekurSwiss-based encrypted mail servers. The recipient can then click on the notification and reply in the same way using SekurReply®without the recipient having to register for a Sekur Account. The sender can also decide to protect any email sent by adding a password to open it, a reading limit and a self-destruct timer. Send an email with the SekurSend® allows senders and recipients to add unlimited size attachments to emails without cluttering recipients’ inboxes. This also eliminates enterprise BEC attacks and email phishing attacks. Additionally, SekurMail includes full control of email delivery, automatic data export for large enterprises, and automatic data loss prevention (“DLP”) technology with real-time continuous archiving.

Recent data breaches in messaging apps have created some urgency for businesses and data privacy advocates to protect their communications from cyberattacks and identity theft via mobile and desktop devices.

Sekur’s data privacy solutions are all hosted in Switzerland, protecting user data from any outside data intrusion requests. In Switzerland, the right to privacy is guaranteed by Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution. The Federal Law on Data Protection (“LPD”) of June 19, 1992 (in force since 1993) has implemented strict protection of privacy by prohibiting almost all processing of personal data that is not not expressly authorized by the persons concerned. Protection is subject to the authority of the Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Transparency.

Under Swiss federal law, publishing information based on “secret official discussions” is a crime. In 2010, the Federal Supreme Court of Switzerland found that IP addresses are personal information and under Swiss privacy laws cannot be used to track Internet usage at without the knowledge of the persons concerned.
