WHERE IS

Westerly Senior Center is located at 39 State St., Westerly. The opening hours of the center are Monday. to Fri, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Staff will be available Monday through Friday at 401-596-2404. Messages can be left on Lucy’s voicemail otherwise.

The on-site dining option for meal service is back. “Take away” lunches are always available when entering the center through the car park door. Call Edie at 401-596-7216 or sign the clipboard outside the downtown restaurant office by Thursday to order either option. A donation of $ 3 is requested.

Dinner on the lunch menu:

Monday: Minestrone soup, pub cheese burger on whole wheat bread, mixed vegetables, dessert.

Tuesday: Beef soup with barley, roast chicken in the oven, sweet potatoes, broccoli florets, whole wheat roll, dessert.

Wednesday: Fruit mix with feta cheese, pepper meatball sandwich, wheat roll, pasta salad, vegetables, dessert.

Thursday: Chicken soup, meatloaf with sauce, whole wheat bun, mashed potatoes, baby carrots, dessert.

Friday: escarole and bean soup, baked fish cakes, mixed vegetables, coleslaw, wheat bun, dessert.

PAWCATUCK

Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center, 27 Chase Street, Pawcatuck.

The center is looking for volunteers for reception, pantry and daily living services and to keep babies warm and well.

TVCCA Meals on Wheels will continue to be delivered from the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center. The Seniors Transportation Program offers door-to-door transportation free of charge, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., to residents of Stonington, Westerly and North Stonington aged 55 and over. The program uses a disabled-accessible bus with lift. Call 860-599-3285, ext. 108, to plan a trip.

Help with heating and utilities, pantry and daily life items are available free of charge, Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The PNC library provides books from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Charlestown Seniors / Community Center, Country Trail, Ninigret Park, 401-364-9955. The opening hours of the center are Monday to Thursday, 8:30 am to 4 pm; Friday 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Staff are on hand to provide telephone support to seniors in the community who have questions, concerns, or are looking for any type of update.

Lunch will be served Monday through Friday at noon in the centre’s Parkside Dining Room. Reservations must be made by noon, two days in advance by calling 401-364-6998.
