An office of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce has started operating in the Israeli city of Jerusalem, with the main aim of strengthening bilateral relations in the areas of business, commerce and science, the chamber said over the weekend.
According to the organization, there is a growing interest in cooperation in almost all economic fields, with particular emphasis on the ICT sector, start-up consulting, health, agriculture and the food industry. The arms, cyber and ICT sectors, as well as wastewater treatment and tourism, are also high on the priority list of the partnership.
“Stimulating Israeli investments in real estate, renewable energy sources, water management, environment, infrastructure and transport, along with increasing Serbian exports to Israel, will be the main task of the Office. », Declared the director of the new representative branch of the Chamber. , Aleksandar Nikolić.
The official opening of the office is scheduled for November, while the ceremony will take place in the presence of the President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Marko Čadež. The opening of the office in Israel will mark the opening of the chamber’s seventh office abroad.
The new office was inaugurated a year ago when the Washington Accord was signed between Serbia, Kosovo and the United States at the White House in September. The agreement also provides for the relocation of the Serbian Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
