President Abdel Fattah El Sisi attended today Wednesday the inauguration of the Egyptian-Serbian Business Forum in Belgrade with the participation of the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic and a number of senior Serbian officials and representatives of various government agencies.
Bassam Rady, official spokesman of the Presidency of the Republic, said that President Sisi welcomed the event, which embodies the spirit of distinguished cooperation between Egypt and Serbia, stressing the concern for the Egypt in the coming period to develop economic and trade cooperation relations with the community. of Serbian businessmen and companies and to develop joint investments to contribute to supporting the process of economic development in Egypt, within the framework of a joint action aimed at maximizing mutual interests and optimal exploitation of opportunities available.
President Sisi also highlighted many promising investment opportunities in Egypt, particularly in the tourism, pharmaceutical, communications, information technology, infrastructure and real estate sectors.
He expressed Egypt’s aspiration to boost trade between the two countries in the field of agricultural products.
President Sisi also pointed out that the qualitative leap that Egypt has experienced recently in the various development sectors reflects the strong will of the State to achieve sustainable development, which will have positive repercussions on the bilateral relations between the Egypt and Serbia.
The two presidents viewed a documentary film on the various economic developments and achievements in Egypt in recent years, and the investment opportunities available in all sectors.
For his part, the Serbian President praised the mutual relations between the two countries, stressing that the necessary effort will be made in the coming period to launch direct flights between Cairo and Belgrade to facilitate the investment process.
He added that the Serbian people respect the friendly Egyptian people and appreciate the common historical relations.
The Serbian President hailed President Sisi’s wisdom, hailing his direct contribution to strengthening relations and the implementation of many national mega-projects under his leadership, which would showcase Egypt as an important development partner on the international stage.
