February 19, 2022 – The Grand Expo fair in Zagreb has high hopes this year, hosting several exhibitors from across the immediate area of Croatia and expecting to attract 80,000 visitors.
As Poslovny Dnevnik written, can the construction industry meet today’s challenges? Is Croatia ready for the energy transformation? Can the country adapt land use planning and communal services to meet all the needs of the 21st century? What are investors and buyers really waiting for?
On these questions and many others in the field of construction, architecture, restoration, real estate, wood processing, furniture, energy, mining, metallurgy and electricity, industrial electronics and robotics, ecology, landscape and public services, the Grand Expo fair in Zagreb will try to provide answers.

”We want to connect science and the economy”
Teacher. Dr. Velimir Srica, Chair of the Program Committee of the International Economic Forum Perspektive, spoke about the importance of reviving fair industry for economic recovery and development.
“It is in fact a kind of awakening from the hibernation imposed by the coronavirus pandemic. The will of the Zagreb Grand Expo is to awaken everything that has been extinguished in the last two years, in the whole region and beyond. We also want this fair to be a catalyst for reviving traditional communication relationships, affirming big and important projects in the thematic areas of the fair and an incentive for all those who want to get out of this pandemic crisis as soon as possible. through this fair, we will strive to associate science and the economy in a dialogue on the evolution and progress of these territories. In the search for acceptable solutions as in the concrete proposal of solutions, people need to meet, talk and network,” Srica said.
Teacher. Dr.prof. Dr. Sinisa Zaric, Full Professor at the Faculty of Economics, University of Belgrade, who has extensive experience in organizing the Belgrade Fair, spoke about the importance of business connections and networking.
“Construction, energy, air conditioning and other areas that will be at the heart of the Grand Expo Zagreb fair are progressing rapidly and constantly offering many novelties. It is much more important to see and try the news from these regions live than to watch it on commercials or virtually. The power of events is always important, people are eager to experience them. The Grand Expo Zagreb Fair will provide a great stage for many scientific and professional events where experiences and knowledge from economy and technology will be exchanged,” Zaric said.
Vinko Curo underlined the importance of the Great Zagreb Fair for the local community, the city of Zagreb and the wider region of Zagreb County in the context of promoting tourism, but also for the state as a whole and thanked national and local institutions, including six ministries and the city of Zagreb, for their continued support.
